Early acceptance applications must be submitted by March 31, and we will respond by April 15.

Is a part-time student eligible?

Yes. Both full-time and part-time students are eligible.

If I begin in January, can I apply?

Award decisions are made annually in late spring. If you know a year in advance, you can apply the preceding spring, or you can apply after you have begun and request assistance for subsequent expenses.

Am I eligible if I change degree programs?

Yes. Funding is on a year-by-year basis, so recipients must re-apply every year. A few scholarships are restricted to specific fields of study. If the change is to a program outside the scope of your current award, then your re-application would be considered in the unrestricted pool.

Am I eligible if I change schools?

Funding is on a year-by-year basis, so recipients must re-apply every year. If the change in school occurs at the end of the academic year, the application for the next year would simply need to reflect the new school cost information.

If a recipient changes during a school year, the TRANSFER INFORMATION section included with the aplication materials must be completed and submitted to the Awards Committee. This form asks for the total cost of the current school and the total cost of the new school. The Awards Committee evaluates the Change Form based on this information. If the new school cost is lower than the original, the award may be reduced. If the are comparable, the award will likely remain the same. Awards cannot be increased during a school year because all available funds for the coming academic year are allocated every May.

Do I have to apply every year I am in school?

Yes. Awards are on an annual basis. Most recipients have been able to continue their scholarships as long as they are in good standing at their respective institutions.

What if I change from full-time to part-time?

You are still eligible for consideration. However, you must notify the Awards Committee for re-evaluation.

What about graduate school?

Graduate students can also receive assistance. The same application forms and criteria for financial aide are used to make these awards.
